This fabulous Curiosities Cabinet can be used for any occasion – Christmas, Valentine’s, Halloween, just to name a few. The sky is the limit. We are offering with it a bonus mold with separate doors, so that you could pour them in resin and attach them as functional doors using miniature hinges that you can purchase at any hardware store. You can also use clear resin, acrylic sheets or any other transparent sheet on the doors to attach for a see-through option, as well as a solid or transparent backsplash. We have added shelves of different sizes so that you can create your own shelving design inside the cabinet. Please bear in mind that different media (resin/clay etc.) behave differently and may stretch or expand when cured, so you may have to adjust placement of shelves accordingly, in some cases by shaving off the excess medium or by adding little wedges to fill out gaps. Any small items that fit on the shelves can be used as shelf decorations – the world of your imagination is without boundaries.
These molds can be used with clay or resin, as well as with food decoration mediums such as chocolate or fondant. When using resin with these molds, we recommend that you apply a release agent first, for example a thin layer of cooking oil spray. When using polymer or air-dry clay with these molds, we recommend that you apply a fine layer of cornstarch, talcum powder or water on the molds before filling them with clay.
