About the Event

For all quilting and sewing classes: Must bring your own sewing machine and thread

Mug Rug - In this class, we will cover beginner techniques including creating a quilt sandwich, quilting your sandwich(basic technique),  and creating a self-binding.

Bowl Cozies are a fast and fun project that are great for gifts.

In this class, you will be able to select from two different designs (10" squares with 2 fabrics or the strip version with 5 fabrics) There will be lots of colorful choices of fabric to choose from at class.

You will also have an opportunity to practice your free-motion quilting or straight-line techniques.  This process can be used for nearly any size cozy and there are many options that will be discussed in class.

Upon completion of this class, you will have 2 completed bowl cozies and 2 kits, along with the knowledge and skill, to complete 2 more at home.

9 Patch Pillow:

Learn beginner quilt piecing with emphasis on making sure your blocks nest together, creating nice sharp designs.  You will also learn the proper method for adding sashing/borders.  At the end of this class, you will have finished a 16" square pillow that will go in any room in your home AND made by you !

Cost of Class: $30.00 per student

Disappearing 9 Patch Pillow:

Next step in quilting -  piecing different size squares (patches) with emphasis on making sure everything nest together, creating nice sharp designs.

You will also learn the proper method for adding sashing/borders.

At the end of this class, you will have finished a 16" square pillow that will go in any room in your home AND made by you!

Cost of Class: $30.00 per student

Rag Pillow:

With your pre-cut fabrics, we will show you how to learn about color placement, mixing prints, and ways to create secondary designs in your quilt.  We will be teaching you how to sew straight lines without marking your fabrics and tutoring you on how to make your machine do the work.

We will also show you proper rag snipping and you will walk away being able to re-create a junior or adult size rag quilt!

Fabrics, batting, and the pillow are included in the class

$50.00 per person
