About the Event

Mita Saldana, owner of Against the Grain, will be the instructor for this workshop

Learn to construct this library classic that is a box that looks like a book when closed.  When opened it lays flat and has two trays that are suitable for photo displays, presentations or protecting antique plates or books.

For this class I am taking a different spin, you will be able to choose the size you would like your box to be.  I will do the math and cut the boards for your specific box ahead of time.

Then we will learn how to construct the box and I will assist you in your measurements and cutting of the decorative papers and book cloth to cover the box.  Through this technique, you should gain a better understanding of how boxes are constructed.

Most materials and tools will be provided.

Each student will need to bring PVA glue.

I will email each student prior to class.

$120 per student.

Space is limited to ensure a personal experience and instruction.
