A traditional binding, this book has a quarter-bound cloth and paper cover with sewn-in endsheets and multiple sections.
This class is the second part of the Bookbinding course. The Single Section Case Bound class is a prerequisite.
It can also be used as a refresher class for those who have already taken Beginning Bookbinding or its equivalent.
In this class, the students will be measuring and cutting the materials themselves so the experience is necessary.
Contact me if you have any questions.
Students need to bring a pre-made text block with at least 6 sections and PVA. I will provide the decorative papers, endsheets, book cloth, book board, thread, backing papers, and headbands. A complete list of materials and supplies will be provided when you sign up.
If you have your own bookbinding tools bring them, including a cutting mat. I will also have the student tool kit for use if you don't have your own tool kits yet, or you have forgotten or missing items.
